Mission

Hirokuni Art Advisory focuses on discovering and nurturing new talent in Japan, curating “one and only” value through a unique aesthetic sensibility with rich ground in experience.
Through our online platform, we provide high-quality viewing and purchasing experiences to collectors and investors both in Japan and abroad, while bringing to light not only the appeals of each the artwork but also the artist’s philosophy and the narratives behind their works. By reinterpreting and presenting the Japanese aesthetic sensibility that has been painstakingly passed down through the ages, we aim to play a role in building a global network of contemporary Japanese art and artists.

石尾弘和　経歴

Hirokazu Ishio established the company GK Hirokuni in 2023, which is the basis for Hirokuni Art Advisory. The company is committed to finding talented individuals in the Japanese art scene, including those who have already received recognition but not enough in its view.

The company is backed by the founder’s long-standing interest in Japanese art and crafts, which began in the 1980s when he worked as an officer at a foreign-based financial institution.

Despite his long-standing interest in Japanese art, he is not a professional in the art business. To compensate for this, he obtained the cooperation and support of several professionals in the Japanese art business and launched the initial website with their help.

Hirokazu Ishio graduated from the Economics Department at Osaka University and worked for the Citibank/Citicorp/Citigroup companies for more than 34 years. He then worked for some foreign and Japanese companies before establishing GK Hirokuni in 2023.

1982年	大阪大学経済学部卒同年シティバンク入行後、34年以上にわたりシティコープ・シティグループにて勤務。貿易金融部長、プライベートバンクでのプロジェクトを経て、新たに設立されたシティバンク銀行に移籍。同行にて取締役会事務局および金融当局担当の統括責任者等を歴任。
2015年	シティグループを退職後、外資系銀行にてコンプライアンス部長・内部管理部門統括責任者を務める。のち、コンサルティング会社にて運用会社の立上げ支援（AML・KYC業務管掌）に従事。
2023年	合同会社廣國を設立し代表社員に就任。
